-Artist's Statement-

“Once we believe in ourselves, we can risk curiosity, wonder, spontaneous delight, or any experience that reveals the human spirit”

e. e. Cummings

The common thread that holds my artwork together is the aspect of spontaneity.  Much like the way I live my life, I find the best things are unplanned.  My drawings are eraser-less manifestations of fleeting thoughts stained in ink. My installations often begin on sheer intuition, with more of a conceptual backing upon completion. The material forms my three-dimensional projects take are utterly dependent on geographic location.  I think it’s hard to fully understand where the necessity to create originates, but I do know that shifting environments and bold, impulsive decisions provide me with a wealth of inspiration.
